Phase One: Submit Your Photo!
Visitors to The Animal Rescue Site™ who are eighteen years old or older can enter a photo in the Rescued Pet Photo Contest. Photos can be submitted on September 1st, 2010 at 12:01 a.m. (PT), and will be accepted until September 8, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. (PT).
By submitting your photo, you certify that you own the copyright to the picture and that you agree to grant The Animal Rescue Site™ nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable right and license to copy, reproduce, publish in any media, distribute, and display all submitted photos, images, and text. The Animal Rescue Site™ reserves the right to alter pictures and edit text, and to remove any submissions at any time. We reserve the right to take down any photo that we deem inappropriate.
Ten finalists will be chosen by the staff of The Animal Rescue Site™ and announced on September 10, 2010. To be eligible, photos must be original work submitted during the appropriate time period, and must include information in the following entry fields: “Pet’s Name”, “Rescued By”, “The Coolest Thing About Your Pet in 20 Words or Less” and “Image Title”.
Phase Two: Vote!
Voting for the winners begins September 10, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. (PT) and ends September 16, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. (PT). Winners will be determined by the highest number of votes, and announced on September 17, 2010. The
Animal Rescue Site™ reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any votes that appear to be (a) created by an automated system; or (b) fraudulent in any way.
All ten finalists will each win a gift certificate to The Animal Rescue Site Store (only one gift certificate per fan can be won during this contest).
Finalists cannot vote for the photo they submitted. However, they can send a link to their photo to friends, asking them to vote.
