It's easy to get tangled up in all the things we *think* we need and go in over our heads. I love this picture, it shows how we get caught in this thinking, then it's really hard to get away from it.

This depiction is smart. A lot of the other art in this contest blames banks and creditors instead of showing the truth- that people need to be responsible for themselves. I think that this one does an excellent job of getting that message across. It is also visually stunning. The colors and composition grab your attention.

This is the best illustration in this contest! I love the movement on the guy's hair and shirt, and excellent use of negative space that mirrors the space that the Octopus takes up. Great use of red/green/and reoccurring blue in the objects. Hope this wins!
